World Book Day 2025 had been a busy one! Whilst Staff and Sixth Formers dressed as book characters for the day, the lower years of LCHS enjoyed a book swap organised in the library in honor of World Book Day. During break and lunch today, Student's were able to swap a book from home and choose another from the large selection of library books to keep as their own.

Nine Sixth Form students visited The Rainforest Ward to read to children in Lincoln Hospital. Vickie and Karen, the play leaders, made us all feel very welcome. The students read to the children, played with playdough and had a competitive game of table football with the patients and generally had a great morning.

The English Department celebrated World Book Day in style today, as they embodied characters from The Handmaidens Tale by author Margaet Wood  'Praise Be' As you can see the Handmaid’s were breaking Gilead’s laws by reading!
